My family and I have personally stayed at The Tamarind Reef on the east end of St. Croix (four times) and we like it. This St. Croix resort has a casual feel: the rooms are large, clean, nicely decorated and the entire resort is impeccably maintained. All rooms are oceanfront and have an amazing view of the Caribbean, Green Cay and Buck Island in the distance. Besides the oceanfront pool there are two nice beaches for snorkeling or just relaxing under the palms. The adjacent marina offers sport fishing and snorkeling trip to the reefs. There is also a 150 person conference center and gift shop. The Deep End Bar and Dining Pavilion is an island favorite. There you can find locals and guests together enjoying music, conversation, and fun evening activities as well as a great staff. The Galleon Restaurant overlooks the marina and offers an elegant evening of fine dining. We think the caesar salad is one of the best we have ever eaten, and always enjoy the soft piano in the background.
